XBMC crashing to Apple main movie playing movies
#1
Im running XBMC (11.0-BETA2 Git:20120120-f76c547), Platform: Darwin iOS (11.0.0 AppleTV2,1, Version 4.3 (Build 8F455)). Built on Jan 20 2012
19:55:33 T:113823744

Since upgrading XBMC is crashing back to the main Apple menu about 10 minutes into movies streamed on local network. Have tried the same movie and this happens every time but in different places. Also for other movies. Also streaming via icefilms.

XBMC is latest beta. Tried restarting. Disabled apple update ages ago. No update message appears on Apple menus.

Log files uploaded below.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The log-aggregated is not a valid crashreporter log. Please post this file - thx for the complete report beside that Smile :

Also, just a couple of quick simple things to check and eliminate the obvious:

1. Have you done a "df -h" to verify that your ATV2 is not running out of disk space?
2. Have you tried this without Artwork Downloader running as a service?

Thanks for your prompt replies. Disabling Artwork downloader seems to have solved the problem. Is there a way to enable this again without the crashes again or do I need to wait for a new version of it?

Available disk space report is here: http://pastebin.com/zRHWvN7U

Your disk space is fine (from: /dev/disk0s1s2 6.7G 3.6G 3.2G 53% /private/var). As for Artwork Downloader, I'd suggest you raise the issue in the Artwork Downloader thread (check the Video Addons (EDIT: PROGRAM ADDONS, not Video Addons--sorry!) subforum, it should be on the first page or so). Martijn's pretty good about addressing issues quickly, and might be able to figure out the problem.

I can only use the normal full debug log from xbmc. If your ATV2 just crashes i don't think i can help you.
Think Memphiz can track it down better than me with the crash report. Maybe some threading problem.

How disable Artwork Downloader?

Add-ons->services->disable...

or

Just disable service it in the Artwork Downloader settings.

By default it should not even do anything. Just check some settings and finish the service code part when not enabled in settings

Very interesting callstack - looks like addon accesses nfs directly - didn't know that this is possible. Have to symbolicate the log when i get home - but i think it might be already fixed for b3. Maybe i give you a version to test for verifying the fix later on...

Could you give this version a try and give feedback if the crash still occurs with this?
