Hey guys,

just a quick question. What do you guys use for syncing your thumbnails across multiple XBMC installs. I am currently using <pathsubstitutions> in the advanced settings to a SMB folder. I'm not having any trouble with it, just want to see if I can get a better response time from the time I hit Movies to the time it loads all the thumbnails. Windows PC and Linux PC seem to load a bit faster than the Ipad (1) and ATV2. Not unhappy at all, Just looking into it. Thanks.

I think you can decrease the saved size of the thumbnails in advancedsettings.xml, which would speed up loading. Often the images saved are larger than they are displayed anyways.

Not quite sure what a good size would be.

Depends on the views and skins you like to use. Default is 512, so you could just half it and see how that looks at 256.
