[WINDOWS] Eden don't play .strm files
#1
Hi to everyone. I've made a little collection of .strm files for my national radio and everyone has a .tbn file for the image. In XBMC Dharma, all goes well...but now I've downloaded Eden and the .strm simply don't play. When I select them, it happens nothing.

The log file says:
ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [F:\Radio_source\M2O\M2O_main.strm]

The link work perfectly in Winamp and MediaPlayer.

If you post the contents of a couple of the strm files here I will try them. I use strm files for BBC Radio and they work fine on Eden beta 2.

Sure, is simply just like this:

http://scfire-dtc-aa02.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1003

And named: DI_trance.strm

I've just created a file called DI_trance.strm and containing:

Code:
http://scfire-dtc-aa02.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1003

and when I select it the stream plays fine. I've tested with both Eden beta 2 and v10.1. We'll need to see a debug log to find out why it isn't playing on your system. Enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, and restart XBMC then wait a minute or two for all the startup tasks to finish. Try and play the stream and when it fails close XBMC.

Open the debug log by pressing Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:

"%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log"

(including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.

Okay, I made it... this is the link: http://pastebin.com/QW48n6gA

I notice you that I don't use the classic Windows shell "explorer.exe" but an alternative. But this shouldn't interfere with XBMC, although the other version works fine.

Test http://scfire-dtc-aa02.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1003 and works in last night build, but http://play.radioftb.net:8026 not work.

Does the log show you trying to play the offending .strm file? I can't see anywhere in the log where you tried to play the stream.
