Concert DVD Rip Naming Help
#1
Hello there, I'm actually having a bit of trouble getting my DVD rip to be imported into XBMC. Its a full DVD rip so its got the VIDEO_TS folder, and .IFO files and all that jazz.
It's not any recent POP artist so maybe that's the problem but MTV does have a listing of it here
http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/18838/moviemain.jhtml
and I also used "music video" and "MTV" scraper when trying to add the source in Aeon MQ3 dharma 10.1

My directory is as follows:
\Concerts\Herbert Von Karajan In Concert\VIDEO_TS\<dvd stuff here>

Is there anything I should be changing here?
Thank you very much

Bleh, tried so many different things but to no avail. Is re-encoding to like an mkv really the only option? Then I'd have so many separate instances for like the bonus materials and such. And I would've preferred to keep the untouched audio quality.

i have some full dvd isos in my library, maye you could try to simply put it as an iso in yours.

Really? Lol, and the whole reason I ripped it to IFO's was because I was under the impression that XBMC could not play iso formats......
I'll try this then thanks

I've managed to get some .IFO files working with full menus on Eden beta 2 and MQ3 but not near my pc right now so can't look into it.

I'll look at what method I've followed when I'm back at my pc but converting file formats shouldn't be necessary.

I've just noticed you're using Dharma 10.1 rather than Eden beta 2 so I don't know if that's significant.

Is this the concert in question:
http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/63685-he...al-concert

If so, it's obviously in the movie db.org database. Are you using the scraper created by mad-max here:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=112150

If not, install the scraper and let it go to work. This should then create an nfo file which should solve your problem, I think. I'm fairly new to this myself and am still experiencing several concert related issues so I'm happy to be corrected!

Ya its dharma so not sure if that's the difference. Also I looked at your link, and unfortunately that is not the concert in question.
http://www.amazon.com/Karajan-Concert-He...B00114LF58

This is just the amazon page for it, hardly any database or something but its just to show which one it is. Also it's on the MTV website from my very first post
I've yet to find it on themoviedb.org so maybe I can create an entry?

Thanks

Use Media Companion and write your own .nfo file for it. DL Media Companion and add the directory your concerts in to the scan directories.

If it can't find it simply cut and paste info from whatever site you want into the appropriate fields. This will create an .nfo file of the same name in the same directory. XBMC will read this by default.
System: XBMC HTPC with HDMI WASAPI & AudioEngine - Denon  AVR-3808CI  - Denon DVD-5900 Universal Player  - Denon DCM-27 CD-Changer
- Sony BDP-S580 Blu-Ray  - X-Box 360  - Android tablet wireless remote - 7.1 Streem/Axiom/Velodyne Surround System
If I have been able to help feel free to add to my reputation +/- below - thanks!

you're a genius, DDDamian. Made my own nfo and it works, also added to "concerts" tab correctly in MQ3. Iso played fine as well.

Thanks everyone
