Isn't this ticket a bit...old? Rolleyes

What videos can't you play, Charlie? I never had problems with TV caps, from BBC or BBCHD for example.

So it isn't a bug because it isn't new? Rolleyes

Beeb HD streams have always been A P.I.T.A.

FFmpeg that xbmc uses in the linux version is alot more forgiving with beeb hd streams than the windows version.

One programme that fixes the errors is TSDoctor
DL the trial & run the stream through that. Seems to fix it for me & playback on xbmc for windows & linux is fine.

Read my 1st post. If you want this fixed you need to take it up with ffmpeg as it is a ffmpeg issue.

I didn't mean that, it just says "fixed" in the ticket.

Anyway, I never had problems playing BBC or BBCHD tv caps (mainly formula1 and the odd documentary). Playback got even better with hardware deinterlacing.

I don't have any 1080i25 blurays to test.

If you read the ticket closer you'll see that is hasn't been fixed and that it most likely won't until ffmpeg adds this capability. The ticket is still active. This is the problem the OP reported.
