...so, if a picture is worth a thousand words, a video clip should pretty much say it all: http://youtu.be/IKzcoerO6jo

Basically, I watched something, then went to watch something else for a while, but the previous something seems to be "stuck". Hilarity ensues, but it's not very productive.

This phenomenon appears on any film I now try to watch. Why is this?

EDIT: Oh, and restarting X does not help. And I would rather not reboot the entire system if I can avoid it.

Do you by any chance use radeon video card?

I don't have a solution for you, unfortunately.

But I just wanted to post that your post made me laugh, and it's nice to see someone post a problem in here with a bit of humor, and a good attitude.
