I just bought the zbox bluray 3d and wanted to share my first impressions.I installed 4 gigs of crucial ddr3 ram i bought online, and a 250 gig hitachi drive from a broken net-book i acquired. I initially installed ubuntu 10.04 but the flash player is really buggy so I installed windows 7 ultimate that i got from my college. bluray's playback is great and it play's any mkv i throw at it in xbmc. Its amazing how much better xbmc is at playing 1080 than vlc. vlc stutter's on anything greater than 720 even with hardware acceleration. Netflix play's ok in sd but hd stutter's to unplayable. XBMC's menu's are a little slow which i was surprised since my chrystalbuntu apple tv seems to run faster with just a single 1 gigahertz processor. I guess this is because its still in beta. Over all though im really happy with it. playing a bluray file i only use about 30% of the graphics processor and it stays really cool.
