I am using EyeTV to record television on my Mac mini. I would prefer Eye TV not to ever show its face as I just want it to record, however, every time it starts it seems to "steal" the Apple Remote so that when I use it, it will interface with Eye TV and when I quit EyeTV it will start launching iTunes, not XBMC.

This is really starting to piss me off to the point that I'll take the EyeTV back because I want the remote to function solely with XBMC. Anyone dealt with this before? I need to go to Settings and disable the Remote, then quit XBMC, restart XBMC and reenable remote for it to work again.

It's a real pain.
