Hi there finished my HTPC using eskros builds I am using XBMC live (Ubuntu Lucid) and xbmc 10.1 (stable release).My NVidia version is NVIDIA 195.36.24 (with open GL 3.2.0).This seems quite old and need to update. The problem is I only use putty and havent a clue how to update from the console (most how-tos are from UBUNTU desktop).I hope someone can shed some light on updating this. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

Thanks for the post, I think you just saved me another week of messing around trying to get this installation to work like it is supposed to.
