XBMC Live - PXE Boot
#1
Let me explain a little bit first.

I have a PXE boot server setup here at home. I got XBMC Live to PXE boot to my PC. Now I want to basically use a thin client for a media center. However, I need to configure the PXE boot image of XBMC Live and repack it. Because when you shut off one of the PCs that is running it, all of the settings are lost. So basically I need to add my SMB shares and a few other tweaks to the XBMC Live then re-capture it so these settings are saved to XBMC Live and each time I PXE boot to it, those settings will still be there. Hope that makes sense.

Anyone have any ideas of doing this?

There is a project that does this for Dharma. Not sure if upgraded for Eden.
(and it will not be thin client as only the disks will be remote)

Thank you for the reply. Can you expand on that at all? What's the project called?

I think all you need to do is add a casper-rw file to the pxe files see here http://www.pendrivelinux.com/how-to-crea...loop-file/
