Audio cutting out on movies
#1
I've started to have a problem when watching 1080p MKV files (blu ray rips)

My Onkyo amp will click (as if changing HDMI source), and the audio will disappear.

It's started happening rather more frequently now, however if i play the movie using Media Player Classic, it works perfectly well

Also, TV shows seem to work fine too, i've not seen this issue whilst watching 720p content

All media is fed via CAT6 cable from a large RAID6 volume to the following HTPC

Intel Core i3 2100T Ultra Low Voltage CPU
Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2V-B3 Motherboard
4GB OCZ Ultra Low Voltage RAM
Intel Pro 1000CT Gigabit PCI-E
OCZ Vertex 2SE 50GB SSD
600w Corsair HX600 PSU
ATI Radeon HD5570 HDMI
Samsung Blu Ray Drive
Silverstone SG02B-F Evolution SFF Case
Samsung LE55A956 55” Backlit LED TV
Onkyo TX-SR608 Amplifier
Tannoy HTS101 5.1 Speakers

Try this build it'll give you HD Audio. Double-check you're using the latest Catalyst 12.1 package. The HDMI audio driver should be dated 12/6/2011.
System: XBMC HTPC with HDMI WASAPI & AudioEngine - Denon  AVR-3808CI  - Denon DVD-5900 Universal Player  - Denon DCM-27 CD-Changer
- Sony BDP-S580 Blu-Ray  - X-Box 360  - Android tablet wireless remote - 7.1 Streem/Axiom/Velodyne Surround System
If I have been able to help feel free to add to my reputation +/- below - thanks!
