so has anyone got a shuttle running on say win7 with proper skins etc?

i want to get something thats small but can still handle full on skins and addons etc.

also needs digital audio.

if i get the shuttle combine it with this and say 4gb ram and an SSD would it handle win7 and decent skins and addons?

would want win 7 so i can use the net on it as well as i watch NFL gamepass alot during the year and also watch F1 thru live streaming. this would be for my main box so i dont mind spending the money if i have to just want it to be small.

im so used to ATV2 size now its going to be hard lol

Did you end up buying the Shuttle?

Yup. Got the Shuttle, http://www.norek.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=634289#links as a "system disk" and 4GB of RAM Smile

Well, that it does not have, beyond HDMI.

If you're after small as in "almost invisible", you can always do what I did and mount it to the back of my TV furniture, out of sight and completely silent.

yeah which is why i linked to the USB sound card that would give it the digital sound Smile

it looks like a good little box would just love some feedback from anyone who has actually used it with win 7 and XBMC

Have you checked the 76 page XS35GT thread? Wink

Edit: And if I may; HDMI is digital, it's just not optical.

yeah true thanks didn't even see that thread.

as for hdmi its more about connecting it to my receiver, which is actually currently just one of those LG dvd jobs with surround speakers. i've had it for about 3 years and it works pretty nicely for now but i need optical from my source to go to the dvd/receiver unit.

but... probably not that big a deal at the moment since i do plan on upgrading and can just run HDMI to the new receiver eventually.
