Hellow i got a fresh install of ubuntu 10.10 on a really old pc of mine

Specs:
1,8 Ghz
Pentium D
400 GB HHD
1,8 GB SDRAM
NO grapic card!!

ATM... im running XBMC eden, i have tryed posted for some help issues, nothing major but no working response

So now im making this post to ask what version of XBMC you reccomend for this pice that belongs in a museum..

AND how do i downgrade it?!?

I want subtitles to work perfectly and hoping the main issues working that is the best feature of XBMC apps and a smoth menu

I've had the most luck with version 9 on my Revos. Dharma and Eden play blu ray rips better, but I can't get them to play normal VOB rips without stutter.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong with the setup of the newer versions. I've tried everything I can find on the playback jutter. Version 9 just worked, so that's what I run by default.

Now to the biggest issue for me... im a ALMOST total NOOB with ubuntu... how do i remove the eden and install the 9.0??

PS... i want to tottaly remove xbmc and make a fresh new install... (just somthing i like to do)
