Can anyone think of a way to hack the remote or XBMC to adjust the volume on an audio/video receiver instead of the XBMC volume? Does the XBMC remote just send = and - commands to XBMC to adjust the volume? I know it's possible to send IR commands to a receiver using a USB-UIRT blaster. If so, maybe it would be possible to trigger the commands via AutoHotKey.

I did discover that the xbmc remote does not simply send = and - commands. I figured it wouldn't be that easy!

In theory HDMI CEC could work for this....
