Eden b3 - vdadecoder/Cpu for m2ts files
#1
Apologise if this has been covered...

Previously (Eden Beta 1) there were a number of admittedly large files in my movie library (example http://pastebin.com/iL8qTGbq) which required hardware acceleration to be off for them to be played smoothly. These were usually m2ts/avcd formats.

Presently with eden beta3 they are playing smoothly with hardware acceleration on. CPU is about 20%. This means that everything that I throw at it plays well with vdadecoder on.

Great stuff. Thanks for the continuous improvements.

Setup:
Macmini 2011 Server
Eden Beta 3
HDMI Onkyo TX-SR308
Macmini Server 2011 i7 Quad Core, OS 10.8.2, Amp Onkyo TX-SR308 USB WD drives 3x2TB TV Samsung Plasma 720p EyeTV Integration

Just be on the lookout for VC-1 video in the m2ts files VDADecoder doesn't accelerate this unless something has changed recently.
