Hi everyone.
I've decided I want to build a HTPC as I've decided to move up from my WD TV Live Plus, which has been a great little unit but its time to move on!
I'm going with the following hardware:
MOBO: ASUS F1A75-M FM1 AMD A75
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813131768
CPU: AMD A8-3850
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819103942
RAM: Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820104263
CASE: SILVERSTONE M03LB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6811163174
SSD: Patriot Torqx 2 32GB SATA II
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820220580
and 4x 80mm fans
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6811999199
I chose the Mobo I did as I wanted the Optical and HDMI output
No other hard drives will be used as I'll be reading from multiple NAS devices and just showing XBMC where they are at
By my calculations even if I added a tuner card and a blu-ray drive down the road I'd need a 250W PSU. So I'm looking for a nice quiet one that is under $75
If that is unreasonable than any suggestions are much appreciated.
Thank you for the help and I'm looking forward to posting and being on this forum!
