#1
Dell Vostro 200
-Core2Duo E6550 @ 2.33GHz
-5Gb DDR2 Memory
-500Gb Sata Hard Drive
-Radeon HD2400 Pro with HDMI
-DVD+/-RW Optical Drive
-Wireless PCI
-Vista Ultimate with all drivers and updates
-Genuine Dell OEM Vista disc included

I plan on installing Win7, pretty much nothing else besides XBMC (RC1) and maybe firefox for browsing. I just want to make sure this thing will work ok. Was going to trade my jailbroken PS3 (80gb) for it. Hoping this thing would handle AEON Skins ok, as my Zotac Zbox doesn't Shocked Will mostly be watching 720p movies, TV Shows (xvid). Thanks Guys Wink hope I didn't leave anything out.

The "Core2Duo E6550 @ 2.33GHz" should be able to handle Aeon and "Radeon HD2400 Pro with HDMI" should be able to playback 1080P! Smile
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC

Oh I did have one more question can't seem to find an answer to, will this be able to support 7.1 audio? It looks like it will do 5.1 but not sure about 7.1.

Thanks again

That's an easy fix...you can spend another $25 on a discrete GPU- SAPPHIRE 100322L Radeon HD 6450 1GB. You'll have a powerful XBMC machine, and it'll playback everything in your list!

I ended up getting the 512mb version of this card for a pretty good price at my local frys. So far so good, got a few more tests to run, but this new systems is smooth as silk so far, thanks for all the great help. Big Grin
