IRW works but XBMC does not react
#1
Hi,

Today I got a hama remote control (MCE)
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 05a4:9881 Ortek Technology, Inc.
and did what's written in http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...for_Ubuntu

The key pressings can be seen with irw e.g.
$ irw
67 0 KEY_UP /dev/input/irremote0

I changed /usr/local/xbmc/share/xbmc/system/Lircmap.xml and /usr/local/xbmc/share/xbmc/system/keymaps/remote.xml. But after I rebooted XBMC there is no reaction on the key pressings. LIRC is running
$ ps xa|grep lirc
934 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/inputlircd -g -m 0 -c /dev/input/irremote0 /dev/input/irremote1
and irw also works.

What did I mess up? Any hints?

Grx,
Ch.

Strange, now it works. I do not know what I've changed but obviously there was something I did.

23:21:56 T:140184004269952 DEBUG: SDLKeyboard: scancode: 24, sym: 000d, unicode: 000d, modifier: 0
23:21:56 T:140184004269952 DEBUG: OnKey: return (f00d) pressed, action is OSD
23:21:56 T:140184004269952 DEBUG: ------ Window Init (VideoOSD.xml) ------
23:21:56 T:140184004269952 INFO: Loading skin file: VideoOSD.xml

BTW: I have a ZOTA ZBOX-AD02-E AMD Fusion E-350 since 4 days and I figured out how to set it up correctly to play HD with 80% CPU usage. Now with the remote control working, it is perfect. I LOVE IT, THANKS FOR THIS NICE PIECE OF SOFTWARE!!!!
