I am running XBMC v.11 Eden beta 3. ATV2. Have had no problems really with any build. SMB to my Iomega NAS. Last night I tried to watch a video and the "working" animation in bottom right corner goes on for a very long time and then I get the error message "'Playback failed. One or more items failed to play check the log...". Nothing has changed in my settings or my NAS settings. I have the NAS DHCP reservation set so that the lease for that IP never expires/renews. Thought maybe it was not connecting but I tried deleting a movie and ran the update library function and it found it again and added to my library so I know XBMC is communicating with the share just fine. If it was not I would be getting another error message asking if I wanted to delete the missing file. Is there a common setting/error that causes this. Seems to have just happened out of nowhere. ATV2 with ATV Flash (black). I guess I could uninstal XBMC there and reinstall to see if that resolves it but wanted to check here first.

Post a log file. Beside that it is not recommended to have firecores media player installed with xbmc at the same time. Media Player might influence XBMC in a way where samba accesses might even crash XBMC. We can't change that (its because of ios internas) - so be warned that both are incompatible to each other.

I'm at my wits' end here. I created the log file and I have tried several times on pastebin.com and pastebin.ubuntu. Once the text is there I submit and I get a lost connection error for IE explorer "Cannot display webpage". I have tried on both sites 10 times!!!! Is there no other way to get the log file on this site. Am I missing something?

A reboot of the NAS drive seems to have fixed the issue as it was losing connection constantly. That would explain why XBMC was not giving me any "missing file" errors. Hopefully that is is as nothing else had changed prior to this happening.

Next time you have issues you might want to upgrade to the latest version, rc2 at the moment, there's a bunch of bug fixes in there... it's worth testing at least.
