Hi

Lately my htpc is locking up quiet frequently, sometimes i start a movie and see the first few frames of the movie and it just stops and other times i just get a black screen. However I do hear the movie playing because the sound resumes normally. But when I try to control xbmc with the remote it just responds to nothing and I have to force shut it down.

Early beta's I didn't experienced any problems but now it seems to occur more and more (running RC2 atm)

Any idea what is causing this?

Can you turn off whatever is doing the JSON request to XBMC.

thanks, but i'm not sure what that json request is or where it is coming from. Could it be from moviesets?

It could be, I was wondering if something related to the skin was doing that request, try with the default confluence skin.

Well i did 5 tests with the Confluence skin and I had no problems there, the movie instantly started with sound and picture.

Then I actived the MQ3 skin again and did the 5 same tests like yesterday and for some reason it passed all 5 tests while yesterday it failed instantly. Computer was restarted yesterday as well

I will try later on again, cause i havent changed anything and computer was restarted several times yesterday.

and again the problem came back, unfortunately didn't had the debug function turned on at that time but its problably the same as mentioned in first post.

seems its related to the sking because all tests i did it failed with mq3 skin and not with confluence skin.

I had this alot.
Try to set the delay in Video options to 1-2sec+.
I think its a problem with changing the refreshrate.
Not problem after watching about 30 episodes before it was about every 5time I start a video.

thanks, tried it first at 1 sec but problem remains and then I set it to 2 secs but unfortunately the problem still persists.
