I have an issue with my TV shows playlist.
The playlist says "Path Starts With h:\TVSHOWS"
Most of my shows are showing up here except CHUCK has disappeared.
It does not bother me much since we has seen them all but I still don't know why it stopped being listed.
Also, Raising Hope recently stopped showing up. It was there last week, but last night it was gone.
the folder is still present and the season subfolders. And the file names are formatted with TheRenamer
H:\TVSHOWS\Raising Hope\
Season 1
Season 2
S02e16.Single White Female Role Model.avi

I have tried "Scan for new content" and "Update Library" but those shows just wont come back.
(I can use FILE view though)
In addition, there are many other TV shows in that directory that are just not listed in the Library view. I figured they must now be named propery or have season folders so I could fix that later..... but Chuck and Raising hope were both their and have gone away.

Any ideas?

Could you by any chance have accidentally turned on the "Hide Watched" option?

Thats sounds like a setting that would do this, especialy for CHUCK but I would think once a new episode of Raising Hope was added, it would show up again..
I will look for that setting though.

No go. They are not set to HIDE and are still not viable.
I don't think it matters but here is the setup.

XBMC RC2 AEON MQ3
I have 2 sources of type TV SHOW
h:\TV Shows
h:\Cartoons

I don't like seeing the cartoons when looking in the normal TV SHOWS catagory so I have that menu disabled and I made custom buttons in MQ3 pointing at 2 Smart Playlists
TVSHOWS Smart Playlist says "Path" "Starts With" "h:\tv shows"
KIDS TV Smart Playlist says "Path" "Starts With" "h:\cartoons"
I have also tried "Path" "Contains"

I re-scrape and several shows are just not showing up.
Update Library & Scan for new content

To make it worse, I removed the H:\TV SHOWS source and added it again and let it re-scrape.... I am now missing even more shows.

I am about to just add all the tv show folders as sources containing a single show....but I should not really need to. I didn't have to do that with various MOVIE sources.

(and my wife keeps giving me crap that this is not working as easy as I said it would. Like now she has to use FILE mode to get to stuff that should be working in Library mode)

Also interesting is I have a install of XBMC running the same rc2, same skin, same smart playlists..... And that one shows way more tv shows than my HTPC shows. Both are missing Raising hope but there must be something else going on it a different install will list more shows.

I presume you mean they don't show up in your smartplaylists only and do show up just fine in the main tvshows listing, right?

If so, grab a Debug Log while you list the smartplaylists in question.

Yes and no.
They also do not show up in the normal TV SHOWS listing. Under TV SHOWS I see my the shows and my kids cartoon series, so I made Smart Playlists to show only the stuff with "Path Starts With TV Shows" or the other is "Path Starts With Cartoons"

On the HTPC, I even killed deleted the smart playlist and removed the source directory, re-added the source directory, let it re-scrape, then I got even less shows back.
For some reason last night Mike & Molly came back, but I am still missing like 12 shows.

I even used Ember Media Manager to rescrape several TV shows that were not showing up (Because I see it puts a tvshow.info file in each folder) and that helped Penn & Teller Fool Us show up, but the others shows like How I Met Your Mother, Raising Hope, Seinfeld... are still not in the TV SHOWS category or the Smart Playlist. I even tried adding some of these show folders as sources containing a single show... The "Search for new content" option takes several minutes and seems like it is even adding episodes, but in the end nothing new shows up. I am about to copy the video library files from my desktop PC to the HTPC just so I have more of the show listed. Everything shows up in FILE view, it is only LIBRARY view that is problematic.

UpdateLibrary or Scan for New Content is not useful for diagnosing, as your folders have already been hashed, thus it won't find anything new (unless the folders themselves have changed).

1. Turn on Debug Log.
2. Refresh one of the shows that doesn't show up in the main TV show listing. (eg New Girl).
3. Post Debug Log on pastebin.com
4. Link to it from here.

I tried Pastbin and even made an account. First I looked for a way to past the FILE and could not find one.
So I pasted in the text , but then IE just froze. I could scroll down an inch or 2 then it would stop responding for 5 minutes...repeat.

When you say REFRESH New Girl, what should I be doing? I thought UpdateLibrary or Scan for New Content was refreshing.

If it's not in the library at all, then TV Show Information on the "New Girl" folder.

If it is in the library but has episodes missing or some-such then TV Show Information on the New Girl tvshow item.

Both are available from your friendly context menu.

After going into the FILE view, selecting New Girl > TV Show Information > Reload > YES
It scanned New Girl, got Episode info, and New Girl is now in my Library.

Thanks so much. 37 shows left to rescan but I am happy to do it to have XBMC working again.

Hey, quick question, I'm seeing episodes and even full seasons disappear from EMM. I'm still doing my initial scrapes for TV shows and for example, How I met your mother, clicked on it, saw all 8 seasons in the middle left pane, scraped it and suddenly season 8 was gone. Any Thoughts?
