Any way to have XBMC launch via a remote?
#1
The title says it all really. I want to have XBMC launch on my computer when i launch the XBMC app (iPhone), or preferably the Hippo remote app.

Thanks

Hiya,. yeah it's definetely going to need support from your remote.

I'm currently using imon with imon remote. i believe there is a pluggin for the iphone. Not sure though.

Also with this app you can configure just about any remote to do what ever you want "http://www.eventghost.org/"

All your looking at doing is setting an argument to launch xbmc.exe when your choice of button is pushed and closed upon pushing button again.

A little g oogle action will get you further.

Yer, i wanted to avoid installing anything extra. There's a mac app called apptivate that can be configured to launch apps with shortcuts etc. I guess i will just have to use this with Hippo remote or something. Can i not customise or edit the buttons and add macros to the XBMC app? The official app works quicker, but the hippo remote has much more functionality and looks a whole lot nicer.
