Win Blu-ray 3D x264 mkv
#1
Hi!

A few questions about Blu-ray 3D discs ripped to X264 MKV...
#1 Will XBMC 11 be able to play these files? With FHD and 3D?
#2 Will my Zotac ZBOX HD-ID33 (ION2-based) be able to output FHD3D to a 3D-capable TV/projector?
#3 How about HD audio?

Thanks Smile

1. No 3d Is Not Supported in XBMC at this time
2. Yes with a 3d External Player (i.e. PowerDvD or WinDVD Pro)
3. External Player is required at the Moment

1. Supported by using an external player

3. There is an un-official HD build for Windows that can handle HD-audio

I'm not sure ION2 is capable of bitstreaming. If it does, I preferred TMT5 as external player for 3d and bitstreaming.

Thanks for the answers!

Which external player would you recommend, with support for 3D x264 mkv's?

I have PowerDVD 10 Mark II Ultra installed for blu-ray disc playback. Will that play mkv's? And HD audio?

When I think about, the ION2 doesn't support bitstreaming.

If it doesn't support bitstreaming, you'll not get HD audio then. The best you can get from XBMC is PCM...

How about external player for FHD 3D x264 mkv-files?
Will it work with PowerDVD? (maybe I need to upgrade from v10 that I use now?)
