XBMC sound problems over HDMI
#1
Hi folks,

Have recently bought a second hand Revo 3700 running Linux Mint and Eden XMBC

I can play an MP3 in VLC within the operating system, but I cannot get any sound at all in XBMC for anything. I tried looking in the audio problems sticky, but to be honest as a non coder and someone not used to Linux, all the code excerpts don't mean much

TV is a Toshiba Regza if that helps

Any help MUCH appreciated as I'm a bit baffled. XBMC is set to HMDI in the sound settings, have tried all the Linux sound options from the sound menu but nothing makes any difference.

I had exactly the same issue today with my new Revo R3700, and simply did what the link wiz561 suggested, and it works.. thanks wiz561!

Loving the R3700 also, miles better than my ATV2!
