Linux iphone xbmc remote for linux
#1
I didn't see any info on this in google and I did not search the threads here so I'm sorry if this is a duplicate. I'm planning on searching these forums after I post this but first things first.

I have an easy time finding xbmc remote apps for my iphone but then when it comes to the server side that runs on the xbmc machine... they are all for windows only.

Isn't there something on the server side for linux users?

I found out that xbmc has a built in server through something called zeroconf or avahi which already come installed in ubuntu.

you just have to install something called "xbmc remote" on your iphone, which is about $2.50 and set it up with the xbmc network settings.

I also found another app that can work for linux users here:

though I still have not been able to get this to compile because of some problem with the location of my X11 libraries.... supposedly.

any help would be appreciated.
