Booting from the new XBMCBuntu Eden ISO, brings up a splash with "XBMCBuntu 11.10" and after half a minute or so reports back with "cx24116_firmware_ondemand" and a file not found message.

It then exits the installer sequence.

I have a Asus P5N7A-VM motherboard.

Are there explainable reasons why this won't install for me? Can I work around this?

I figured the problem. Googling for the cx24116 code gave reference to some Conexant device, which I remembered was 1 of the 2 TV Capture cards I had installed in the unit (originally intended as a MythTV box).

I removed these cards from the PC, retried the XBMCBuntu CD and it has booted beyond this.

Word of note for others who may have extra PCI cards installed...
