XBMC of any version does not see my Logitech Chillstream gamepad. It is fully compatible with XBOX 360 Controller, wired, in Control Panel it appears like "XUSB Gamepad". I can say, it is 360 controller with different name, no game ever had a problem with it. So, what's the problem with XBMC?
I have tried to add "XUSB Gamepad" as <altname> in joystick.Microsoft.Xbox.Controller.S.xml. No luck.
I have tried to copy joystick.Microsoft.Xbox.360.Controller.xml to joystick.XUSB.Gamepad.xml with change of <joystick name. No luck too.
Also, Settings -> Input devices -> Peripherals is gray.
Where to dig, Mc Gelleons?
