Hi i have a dual screen setup at home

The One screen is on my desk and the other is connected to my TV via HDMI cable

While my wife watches a move or what ever on the TV using XBMC and I'm working on the other screen .. but if i press any key
the XBMC app will minimise to the taskbar .. the only way i can get it to work if i dont view in full screen and drag the app over
the TV .. but Im sure there is a fix or something i can do with windows 7 64bit


Any suggestions ?

By default XBMC uses a video mode that is fast, but that won't share the screen with other apps (even if they're on a different monitor) so when some other app gets the focus it forces XBMC to minimise. You can configure XBMC to use a slower video mode that will share the screen. Go into System settings, System, Video and enable the setting "Use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen". However note that you make see playback problems due to the lower speed of this video mode.

The only good solution is to use a separate PC to run XBMC.
