IR/RF/IP Control for ASRock A75M Build
#1
Building Eskro's A8-3870 but already have a case and some other odd's and ends.

[CPU+iGPU] AMD A8-3850 4x2.9GHz HD6550D FM1 100W
[MOBO] ASRock A75M FM1 CIR USB3.0 SATAIII UEFI μATX
[CASE] Antec Overture II

I have the following items for control:
Harmoy 900: IR or RF - for use in front of the TV (A/V cabinet is behind the couch with glass door)
iPhone: IP - for use anywhere in the house
iPad: IP - for use anywhere in the house

My case does not have IR port on the front of it but I have an open 3.5" bay/panel that something could be put into.
The Harmony 900 came with a RF-IR Repeater which I'll use in the cabinet
I already have an old Gateway RC6 Remote and OVU4003/00 IR-USB

From what I've read here the RC6's IR-USB receiver will work.

Want to confirm that is still the case or should I be buying something else that does the job better?

I have an RC6 IR-USB receiver on the same mobo and it works fine. The NIC also supports wake on lan, so you're good to go and will be able to wake your computer from sleep with your remote or iDevices.
