Recently Added Items in home screen hide watched?
#1
With the upgrade to Eden and using the standard confluence skin there is an option to display on the home screen the recently added videos.
This shows a hand full of the most recently added Movies and Episodes.
This feature is very nice and convenient but it displays items even if they have been watched.
I looked at the code behind IncludesHomeRecentlyAdded.xml but I cant seem to find anyway to hide watched items.
I already selected "hide watched items" in the library and that works like it did in the past but this option doesn't seem to carry over to the home screen and I cant seem to find an option anywhere to enable hide watched items under the home screen.
Is there some quick and easy way to either modify IncludesHomeRecentlyAdded.xml to hide watched items or some checkbox I am missing?

Thanks again for all the efforts with this project it is an amazing piece of software that has revolutionized our media experience.

Not currently possible as it's no longer handled by a script but is a core XBMC feature.

Sounds like a good advanced setting to me or better yet make it the default since I bet most people only care about what they have not watched

here is the adapted .xml file that works for Confluence Frodo 12.0 and the script

simply replace current file.

only adjust recently added. other script aren't available for the skin so you can turn them off in the addon to save some processing time

I tried the .xml file in the post above and it did not work for me with xbmc 12.2 (the thumbnails were completely blank). Perhaps the format of the file changed. Also it does not mention that you need to have the Skin Widgets add-on installed.

For future people coming across this thread and looking for a solution, you can follow the steps I outlined here:
