I have just made a fresh install of ubuntu 10.10 and the latest xbmc on my LG x110, hoping to make a smaller media center, that works better than my last one (a old pc that wont take any grapic card)... now i started to wonder if i coud connect my lap and the old pc true wired and still use wi fi for internet on the lap (all my movies and shows are on the old pc)
I know that I can watch my movies true lan.. but i also want to be able to get updates on the lap, movies ect on the lap
my wi fi is dame annoying... i have to go on a webpage to log on the internet.. and it has NO intranet true the wi fi... so i just want to make my own intranet and still use the internet on the lap..
perhaps make a bridge conection on the old pc?? but there i need to have somthing to keep the connection alive, since i just want it to be a box for mymovies (i will buy a box thing that will make the internal hdd to a external hdd, later this year)
