Anyone have any luck getting dvr-ms files to play smoothly?
My HTPC has a quad-core i7 (2820qm), running Windows 7, and is wired to the same router as the NAS. In WMC, I can get dvr-ms files to playback perfectly. However, in XBMC; it stutters often (looks as if the file is playing at 10-15 fps).
I currently have the render mode set to DXVA2. I've tried messing around with the refresh rate options, but I've had no luck.
Anyone have any tips/tweaks I can make to XBMC? I love XBMC, just wish I could completely get off WMC. I'm assuming Microsoft hasn't really given us much to work with (is the container open source at all?).
For a long time I was going the encoding route, but that's starting to use up a lot of my computer time. Personally, I'd rather keep the files in their native formats/quality (file sizes is not a concern for me).
Thanks in advance for any help
