Linux Xbmcbuntu doesn't wanna run on my old pc
#1
I recently found an old pc of mine in my basement , it's an HP A1000, it has a intel celeron 3.06GHZ, 1gb of ram and integrated graphics. I wanted to install Xbmcbuntu 11.0 on it, so i burned the iso to a cd and when i attempted to run it i got this error "This kernal requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected 1686cpu, unable to boot-please use a kernal for your cpu" is there anyway that i can get xbmcbuntu to install on this pc?

This is not only a trouble with the date of your hardware, I manage to boot xbmcbuntu with an older athlon 2400 xp !
But it was 2 months ago, so I boot with an "old" release of xbmcbuntu, the v29.
Maybe the autors consider that everybody run on a 64 bits cpu ...
Try to boot an older release that the new one you try, and if everything goes fine, you can install and make an upgrade, with sudo apt-get dist-upgrade.
