Good day everyone.
please excuse me for being noob on this, but i promise that a kept searching over the net for straight 8 hours before coming here to post this.
as all of us "Media Lovers" got my XBMC after thinking about it for more that 6 months, moving from the simple iOmega and WD HD Live.
Bought the ZOTAC ZBOX with fully installed and operational XBMC.
However; i live in an arab country where nearly everything on the net is blocked.
have a subscription with a US based server that made the net accessible.
now to the problem:
on the Windows7 of the ZOTAC, i setup my proxy with user name and password, and can access the browser normally like i always do, but XBMC do not accept the OS settings.
i input the proxy setting in XBMC, but still i can access the content i need "adult and metadata providers other than the usual two or three" even though the plugin for it was successfully downloaded by XBMC.
sure i tried switching off proxy on OS and keeping on XBMC and the opposite, but it didnt work.
so, is there a way to make the XBMC take the network connection settings from the OS? or even better and get the proxy to work from within it?
if you need a "log" to help me; then kindly explain how to get it.
