Need Help Filling In The Blanks

Building another box, and was wondering if people could help me pick a couple parts.

This box will run Windows so I can stream Netflix, and 1080p media from a NAS.

1. Also, will a Blu-Ray Drive fit in this case?

2. Stock cooler, or after market cooler for CPU?

3. Am I forgetting anything?

Micro ATX MoBo ??

GPU ??

CPU: Intel Core i3-2105 3.1GHz Dual-Core Processor ($132.98 @ NCIX US)

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1066 Memory ($21.99 @ Newegg)

Hard Drive: Patriot Torqx 2 32GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($59.99 @ Adorama)

Case: Silverstone ML03B HTPC Case ($59.98 @ NCIX US)

Power Supply: Antec 400W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($52.98 @ Newegg)

Total: $327.92

Thanks!

1. Yes
2. Stockish so you might as well go stock

Why a i3 ? Why not a AMD A-6 or A-8

Memory go dual channel

That SSD is to expensive

My box I just built has a AMD A6-3500 (has AMD HD6530 graphics built in), 2x2GB DDR3, OCZ 30GB SSD. Mine is used for the same thing except for the NAS part(soon?) and is playing videos from two external HDDs.

I agree with Jetster. Ditch the i3 and go AMD A6. You'll save a decent amount of money.

There is nothing wrong with the i3 although it is a little more expensive.

If you don't need 3d and saving money is your biggest concern get a g620 which is cheaper than the a6.

32 gb its too small if using windows 7, imo. I would get 60-64 gb which you can find ay the same price point.

Also the g530 is $35 if you live near a microcenter.

Go with this power supply and you'll have room for any Blu-ray drive in that case:

FSP 80 PLUS Certified 300-Watt Micro ATX/SFX Power Supply FSP300-60GHS-R
http://www.amazon.com/FSP-Certified-300-...004VF4R4U/
$44.99

It's a Micro-ATX PSU but comes with a bracket for the ATX opening in your case (-R = retail). 300W is also going to be more efficient than a 400W PSU given your low power load.

Here is a complete list, and you'll have a very powerful HTPC.......

Case/PSU: APEX MI-100BK Black Steel Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case 250W Power Supply ($63)
CPU+iGPU: Intel Core i3-2105 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz + HD3000 65W ($135)
MOBO: ASRock H67M-ITX LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ($92)
SSD: Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB ($73)
RAM: Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 ($32)

You'll have room to grow too.....
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

i3-3225 should be here any time now. I wonder how much longer to wait and how it'll compare to the $135 i3-2105 price or if it'll mean the i3-2105/2125 drop.
