Problem with Database
#1
Hi!
I have a database problem with Eden, Dharma also did so:
When removing an database entry and also deleting the folder
lets the entry disappear as it should. But when updating the
database, the deleted entries appear again. i don't understand
that behaviour, because the folder with the TV series isn't present
any more.

You need to "set content" to "exclude on scan"

If you enable debug logging the log should tell use why the film is being re-added. Do a scan to make sure everything is up to date, then remove the offending database entry. Enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, and restart XBMC then wait a minute or two for all the startup tasks to finish. If your XBMC doesn't scan on startup do a scan to re-add the rogue entry. Now close XBMC.

If you're using Windows open the debug log by pressing Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:

"%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log"

(including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.

If you're not using Windows see http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_File for how to get at the log file.

But the folder with the series has been deleted, so there isn't one, where I
can set the content.
I am not on Windows, I am on Debian Squeeze with self compiled Eden.

Sounds like there may be a stray file or nfo somewhere that is being picked up when your library is being scanned.

If you go to the item that keeps being added and bring up the info for that item, it should show you the path to the file that has been added.

Alternatively:

1. Delete the series from your library.
2. Enable debug logging
3. Restart XBMC
4. Do a library update
5. Upload your debug log.
6. Paste link to your log and confirm the show that is causing issues and we can see why its being added.

If you aren't sure how to upload your debug log, then there is an add-on to do that for you:
