Is it possible to find and buy better remote for my Apple TV 1.
I would like to buy metallic one, but most important is: remote with more buttons than original one.

PS:With original one, it is not possible for example to change subtitles on blu-ray movies.

I found that some people use their tv remote to control Apple TV with XBMC, but to do that?

Depends on the OS running - if you are running XBMC overtop of Frontrow (10.4.x) then pretty much any remote can be recorded to give you another 6 or so buttons, if Crystalbuntu then I Harmony setup as a Plex Player will give full functionality.
