Aparently the TV itself is an edge lit(?) LED produced by TCL.

How cool would it be if the smart part of the smarttv is specced high enough to run XBMC or at least has HDMI-CEC so one could put a puter with a PulseEight adapter and controll it with the IKEA remote?

Love IKEA stuff but I know its not the greatest quality, not sure I would trust an TV from them. I guess it depends on who is actually making it for them.

Wow, this thing looks nice as a middle-range tv.

But i doubt that it'll be smart enough for xbmc.
However you never know that.
If it becomes a sucess there'll somebody who will make xbmc run on it for sure.

So let's hope for an Atom platform, although i guess it's an arm soc with something on top of a linux kernel.

just like their appliances, they don't make this themselves.

I wonder who the manufacturer is.
