After installing XBMC 11.0-3 Eden for Apple TV 2 5.0 (iOS 5.1 thethered jailbreak) it worked OK.
I changed the skin to XEEBO en exited XBMC. When I started again XBMC hangs in XEEBO welcome screen.

As newbee can anybody tell mee how to stop XBMC without resetting the ATV please?

The hang was a result of advanced settings.xml.

Hi, if it has hung then you will need to pull the power.

Once in the ATV2 screen, you could try changing the skin back to confluence (default) by editing the guisetting.xml file.

Don't start XBMC, use an application such as cyberduck to SFTP into the ATV2, navigate to folder /User/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata and download the guisettings.xml file.

Find the <lookandfeel> enclosure and edit the <skin> to be skin.confluence. It should look something like this once changed:
