Display adapter suggestion
#1
Hi I am putting together a HTPC, and I need help picking the right display adapter. I want to be able to run xbmc, play 1080p video (also 3D sbs), play old mame and emulator-games via HyperSpin. That's about it. I also need to run my audio through the HDMI-out of the display adapter. It's a PCI Express port. And have a reasonable price tag of course... around 200$. All feedback is deeply appreciated.

Other specs:
CPU: about 3.0 GHz Intel Core2-Duo
RAM: 4GB
Mini case

I've used an Nvidia 9800GT and currently have a ATI HD 6770. Both are cheap, and both run 1080p without a problem. I prefer the 6770 as it uses less power, is smaller, and runs cooler. It can be found for under $100

I've been using a C2D Q9550 quad-core., and CPU usage rarely goes over 40%. Really, I see no reason to go with a faster GPU, unless you also game.

Though if you're after a beefy card, I'm selling my ASUS 6950 2gb for $180, shipped from Canada...
