Digitally Imported XBMC addon (Updated 25. July 2016 : V3.1.2)
Same here ... it stopped working, it seems, at least on Kodi 17,
but it was working on Kodi 17, already, I think.

Same here. I recently updated LibreELEC from 8.0.0 to 8.0.1 (ie Kodi 17.0 to 17.1). But maybe it's just a coincidence.

Also not working for me on Kodi 16.1, I believe some fix is needed, perhaps something changed in di.fm website. Streamng from the website works flawlessly without any issues.

Yes, they changed something in the streaming
structure, I guess.

Anyone able to solve this issue? :\

Developer has been here last on december 2016...it does not seems like he care..or something happened to him, or...we can only guess
I am sad also, this is such good add-on :-(

Uh, that's hard ... one of my favorite addons ! Hope that is maintained in future !

Maybe he got some trouble with di.fm 'cause service is no longer meant for unregistered users (30 min listening to test), you need to create a - free - account. But I guess that could be included in the addon ..

I can't play any music using Digitally Imported (I just upgraded to Kodi 17.1 hoping it might fix the problem, but no dice). It keeps saying either "Playback failed: One or more items failed to play. Check the log (what log!?) for more information about this message." or it says "Playlist: Can't find a next item to play". How do I fix this?? Digitally Imported is about the only music app I listen to on Kodi!ConfusedSad

Absolutely love this addon and very sad to see it is broken now

If it cant be fixed can i say thank you to bitcrusher for all the time that it was working previously,it was a great addon and provided a lot of music enjoyment

Thanks bitcrusher if you read this

I can no longer play music from the addon. But I can play music from the favorites I created.

While the addon itself is broken, the workaround from post #186 will allow to still play the stations from a list

I also cannot get the app to play but my one fave station still does...........weird.

I loved this addon for quite some time now, unfortunately it stopped working recently. I think the code of bitcrusher could be fixed easily, most likely it would have to be updated to make an account mandatory (not only premium but also for free listeners) and adapt the way the channel URLs are created. I was looking a bit at his code but didn't analyze it well enough to provide a fix.

For me it was easier to write my own addon which works currently only for free streaming!
I won't publish that code currently since I don't know if I would run into any legal issues with AudioAddict network. I'm also wondering if bitcrusher got into trouble and stopped development because of that, would be good if he could tell something about it? But I think chances are low that he will answer here, he wasn't online since many months.

I saw that the founder of DI wrote a letter, explaining that free streaming without an account gets removed and asking their users to upgrade to premium to save the service since the running costs got so high that he had to make this decision. He states furthermore that many 3rd party providers like iTunes have been abandoned and that looks like they won't have any outsiders anymore accessing their services.

You can read the letter here: http://www.di.fm/founder-letter

I'm very sad about that. I've been listening to DI for more than 10 years now. Confused
I promoted it on my linklist as "with very little commercials".
With a vTuner account it was possible to listen to all channels directly with my Yamaha AVR without any additonal steps.

Suddenly DI stopped supporting 3rd party free-streams to push its own webplayer/apps (with commercials).
I was very happy to find the KODI app by bitcrusher for my fire TV.

Maybe time has come to find new (free) radio stations.
80€ per year is too much for a "radio station" I tune in once a week.

By the way. I tried to install the official DI app on my fire tv. It works after a fashion.

I sideloaded com.audioaddict.di-3.4.12.4695 downloaded from APK4Fun
It starts but the GUI is for a mobile phone (upright) and not for landscape tv.
And you need a mouse-app on the phone to control it. (CetusPlay works for me).

A lot of work to start listening.

I think, the Kodi app would work as usual, if the links or changed stuff
got fixed. I mean, you still can listen to it in a normal browser without
need of an app or anything else.
