Hi guys
I miss two little step to make my system, built on ubuntu 11.10 minimal, perfect.
One, I describe here is the impossibility to set a splash screen.
I launch xbmc with the xbmc-live package script and I use uxlaunch (with uxlaunch selected when requested by the installer). The fact is that if I try to enable a splash screen with this istructions: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...oot_Splash
the result is that I don't get any splash screen and the boot process hangs because in dmesg the nVidia drivers claim that the device is already taken.
Do we have updated way to enable spalsh screen?
It's worth to mention that I run nVidia ION2 system and it seems there is a general problem with framebuffer
Bye
