XBMCbuntu + Nvidia Ion + menu sounds failing
#1
I'm configuring a new install of XBMCbuntu on an ASRock Ion 330Pro and am having an issue with the menu sounds. When the machine boots up, the menu sounds are there, however as soon as I play something (video, music) and go back to a menu, the menu sounds no longer play.

Audio within video and music plays ok whenever I access them, it is only the menu sounds that drop out after any other audio is played.

I am pretty much using the default settings that came with the install, HDMI sound is turned on in the BIOS.

Any ideas?

A little more on this - it seems to be related to Pause. If I pause a video, then stop it and go back to the menu the menu sounds don't work. If I stop a video and then go back to the menu, the sounds work.

It is as if pause somehow ties up the sound device and won't let any other function use it.
