Hi,
after upgrading my Ubuntu to 12.04 yesterday I lost all sound on XBMC - can anyone please help me?
I have a GeForce 210/PCIe/SSE2 and I connect it using HDMI to my TV.

Have you checked the output levels? Run alsamixer and post a screenshot of what you see.
Is the sound output set to HDMI under system? Are you not getting audio on ANYTHING or only on some files? Are you using the "stock" xbmc or did you compile from git?

Go to the Ubuntu desktop and select the HDMI output 5.1 option under sound settings and then go in to XBMC and select that option. No digital sound but at least you get something for now.
I've been trying options all day for this
