Win Netbook run XBMC?

I have this netbook the acer aspire A0751 and wanted to use it to get videos from my "server" and play them. most of the videos on the server are 720p but playback doesn't need to be in 720p. is it possible to use this netbook with xbmc? I've looked around and not much help with this model. and if i can whats the best version of xbmc? as in Linux > windows? etc? thank you for the help

windows xp doesn't support hardware acceleration which means your processor has to do the heavy lifting....being an atom i don't think it would handle much...maybe play sd
