Check the instructions here: http://forum.firecore.com/topic/7524

nice april's fool joke

It's not a joke. The process does exactly what it says.
i believe you had your shsh blobs saved "in the cloud" or locally..... it's impossible to downgrade to lower firmware without the blobs, if a way was found it would be all over the net.

Did you actually read the instructions? You can downgrade from 5.1 to 4.4.2 tethered without having saved any blobs. That process works. I've done it.

The only thing you absolutely need your own saved blobs for is to then go from 4.4.2 tethered, to 4.4.4 untethered. That's where the confusion is.

Read the instructions here, and note the part where they provide you with 4.4.2 SHSH blobs that work for downgrading: http://forum.firecore.com/topic/7455

Unfortunately, the 4.4.2 blob they provide is the only one that works in this manner, and 4.4.2 is a tethered boot.

And yes, I had blobs saved for 4.4.4, so I was able to then go from 4.4.2 tethered to 4.4.4 untethered. Always always always save blobs when you have the opportunity. And if you've used atv Flash in the past, note that it may have saved your blobs automatically without you doing so. Check that too.

this worth nothing. nobody needs to downgrade to tethered, and you cant go untethered without YOUR OWN blobs. i rest my case.
