I am a very long time user of XBMC and have 5 players, 2xATV2 (Eden), 1xWindows(Eden), 1xXBMC Live 10.1, 1xXBMCBuntu this is the main system with the issue. Recently installed XBMCBuntu-11.0.iso on a Zotac MAG box, HDMI sound is fine for movies/TV Shows etc. full passthru of Dolby, DTS etc. through my Sony AMP. But on playing any audio I have over 13,000 MP3's the audio pauses briefly every 10 seconds or so. Irrespective of what track it is playing or for how long I play the track.
Never had the problem using any other version of xbmc on the same setup. XBMC->ZOTAC MAG->HDMI->SONY AMP->SONY BRAVIA 55".
I have tried turning off replaygain and crossfade settings (in theory they should not be an issue) but the effect is the same. I really wanted to use XBMCBuntu but this is a non starter as we regularly use XBMC as the music player for parties etc.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem. Otherwise it is back to my previous live installation.
