I have a strange problem i can only get sound playing in movies in xbmc. When i go to the desktop, there is no sound in the other programs. I use a intel i3 2125 with hd3000, connected to a denon avr 2808 surround reciever, with a hdmi cable. I use the latest xbmcbuntu release.

I have tried a lot of solutions i found on the net and in this forum. But it still doesn't work

I don't know. But xbmc is setup to use HDMI alsa

pulseaudio breaks multi channel streaming. but i found that xbmc is locking the sound.
I found a fix here.
