Hello,


I have a small media center based on Ubuntu and XBMC. Yesterday I have performed an ugrade to the ubuntu version and xbmc. Ubuntu were upgraded to 12.04 and XBMC to eden.

But now I cannot open movies directly from the rar files because they are not even listed. Is there any settings that I need to change or is this a but and I should reinstall xbmc?

Ubuntu repo hate rarlib, so XBMC from Ubuntu repo have no rarlib. XBMC from XBMC repo have rarlib.

if u use debian , then u can use sid multimedia repro in apt source.list

add in /etc/apt/source.list

Code:

deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org sid main non-free

and upgrade or install xbmc, then u can see rar files (movies in rar archive) in xbmc

rar-support is also available in Jessie debian multimedia. Maybe even in the Wheezy.
