Bit of noob question but i cannot find the answer in any of the FAQ's

Is there a method to search for new content in the Movies/TV shows folders without closing the application?

Obviously once closed and reopened, my XBMC is set to check library's on start up and works.

But this is a pain, is there a method or custom menu option to do this in the application?

when in library view hit the context menu (keyboard: "C") and there will be the option update library
